Historic land of cybersecurity, Brittany curiously did not yet have a Clusir. It is now done. The association bringing together the region’s security experts can count on a highly motivated office and an ambitious agenda.
The circle of regional associations linked to Clusif is expanding towards the west of France with the creation of Clusir Bretagne. “Brittany is a historic territory for cybersecurity with the Cyber Center of Excellence, the Cyber Command, the start-up studio program, it was important to find a place to meet”, specifies the president of the young association Ayoub Sabbar (also CEO and founder of Ornisec). An office was created for the occasion bringing together “people from different sectors and different territories, Nantes, Saint Malo, Brest”, insists the manager.
The association is open to both RSSIs and publishers from Brittany and Loire Atlantique, but each will have dedicated spaces to avoid untimely sales canvassing. Very recent, the association’s website: https://www.clusir-bretagne.fr accepts pre-registrations from members with a subscription that starts from 50 euros. Clusir Bretagne aims to reach 50 members by the end of 2021.
Supporting junior CISOs
The office has also set its agenda over 3 years with several objectives. First, the Clusir Bretagne will be a place of exchange and sharing between members (feedback, networking, etc.). In the roadmap, we also find support for new RSSIs, “in the region, many young RSSIs are starting out and we can help them with support from a senior”, says Ayoub Sabbar. The creation of a cybersecurity barometer in Brittany is also in the pipeline with “indicators on attacks, responses to incidents, cyber maturity in the region”, continues the manager. In addition, work will be carried out on a repository of cyber skills. An ambitious program that does not scare a dynamic and motivated office.
