Among the presentations of the morning, you will also find that of Emmanuel Trétout, CIO of the occupational health service of Nantes (SSRN) who will explain the challenges of modernizing and securing its information systems with agile practices. With 25,000 representing a total of 280,000 employees in the Nantes region, the SSRN’s mission is to monitor health and prevention at work. With a CIO of more than ten people, the organization has undertaken a modernization of its information system, notably through an overhaul of its project methodology. “We were very V-cycle oriented with definition of needs and deliverables a few months later, needs have changed and we wanted to operate in agility to be as close as possible to user needs”, explains Emmanuel Tretout.

An agile methodology based on Scrum was adopted with sprints reduced to 2 or 3 weeks with the key to “bringing the functional closer to the projects”, continues Emmanuel Tretout. Some features have been rewritten and the better integration of part of the tests into the sprints has enabled them to be validated more effectively. One of the main projects to have benefited from this new project organization was the member portal which also received special attention in terms of DevSecOps. “It is important to assure members that the data exposed on the Internet meets important security criteria”, says Emmanuel Tretout, who specifies that pen tests have been carried out for the occasion. Next step: the extension of DevOps practices applied to the ERP change that is looming and for which agility practices with validation by cycle, configuration and adaptation to users will be implemented.
