How to optimize the back-up links with the SD-Wan? A question on which Sébastien Touquet, IS manager of KP1 has looked into and will provide some answers. The latter, who also piloted the 3D digital model project within the industrial specialist in the manufacture of ready-to-install walls and floors, will discuss the challenges of this project, illustrating his remarks with a demonstration.

As part of the IT Tour 2021 Paca, the LMI editorial staff will welcome Rodrigue Alexander, director of finance, activity and information systems at the Arles Hospital Center to put into perspective the cyberattack suffered at the end of August, which has paralyzed its activity, the means mobilized to get by and the lessons learned.

Establishment of 650 beds, 95 million euros budget, it includes an IT team of ten people. Regarding cyber resources, two technicians are dedicated to this mission, coupled with pooling with public assistance from Marseille hospitals. “For 3-4 years, we have strengthened the resources put into the security of information systems. The reinforcements were made from the external firewall to the backup logic which unfortunately is not yet networked ”, explained Rodrigue Alexander. “We don’t expect this to fall on us even though we have prepared a disaster recovery plan,” explains Rodrigue Alexander. Affected by a cyber attack in early August, the hospital center implemented a disaster recovery plan using various technologies: Palo Alto firewall to filter the various vLANs, Nimble bays, Veeam backup to recover snapshots, etc.

“We had ongoing reflections on setting up an EDR, we had quick budget arbitrations that made it possible to install it. We had vulnerabilities in machines directly accessible on the net, we were able to correct them by passing all of its flows to the Palo Alto firewall, ”continues Rodrigue Alexander. “In our misfortune, we have rebuilt an information system that is much more robust than it was before the cyberattack”.
